28th Bathampton Scouts joined up with the 15th Freshford Scouts for their 4th Annual Joint Endurance hike last weekend which saw the combined Troops face a challenging hike through muddy woods and debris left over from Storm Amy.

The event encompasses a loop set between the picturesque villages of Iford and Freshford, the aim being to complete the most loops in the time allowed with an average time of just under 1 hour – with some Patrols improving their times with each loop they walked.

Most of the Scouts completed 15 miles while Sophie, a new Scout to the 28th Troop, completed an impressive 18 miles with 6 loops!

The Scouts were supported with checkpoint volunteers that included Leaders and parents from both Groups – many of whom brought tasty home made cakes to help the Scouts along.
