Scout Community Week has prompted thousands of volunteers across the country to do their bit for local communities.
In Bathampton the Cubs and Beavers helped at Dry Arch Growers – a community
farm project based in the village. The youngsters planted seeds, laid woodchip
paths and helped to build a base for the new clay oven. They were joined by
parents and other volunteers.

At the start of the year the Troop entered the WD40 Community Challenge Competition. Though we did not win this prestigous competition we did get a ‘goody bag’ for entering.

Below is what WD40 wrote about the Troops efforts!
“A Scout group from Bathampton are WD-40’s first clean up entrant, in the running to win £500 for their group. 28th Bathampton Scout Group has cleared a garden behind their HQ, that was formally unusable.
