Adventure Award for Scouts

4 April 2018 written by : Ethan - Assistant Scout Leader and Webmaster

Recently Scouts from the 28th Bathampton troop, took the opportunity to experience a wide range of new activities at PGL in Liddington near Swindon and pass their Adventure Award badge.
The Scouts, all aged between 10 and 14, spent two nights away at the centre where they were able to try fencing, Areoball and a giant swing, to name just a few of the activities on offer.

Many of the activities also promoted team work a key element in Scouting with the Scouts all working together under the Leadership of their Patrol Leaders as they attempted other activities including Crate Stacking Challenge, robot wars and an assault course.
The camp also provided a memorable backdrop for 6 Scouts who were formally enrolled into the Troop. If you would like to come on our next adventure as a Scout, or one of our adult volunteers who make trips like this possible, then get in touch here, to find out more!
